藍の本場 徳島で藍の栽培から染色までを学び、2024年より滋賀で藍染工房をスタートさせました。先人の残した知識と技法を用いて、現代の暮らしに合うデザインを提案しつつ、藍染の新たなる可能性を探っています。

SLOW FABRIC の名前の由来は、“LOW ＆ SLOW”
1940年代のカリフォルニアで流行った、車のタイヤを小さく改造するローライダー。LOW＆SLOWはこのローライダー文化の総称で「ゆっくり時間をかけて確実に進む」という価値観を表しています。

私たちの藍染もゆっくり時間をかけてでも確実にいいモノを生み出し、一歩一歩前へ前進していきます。

I studied indigo dyeing in Tokushima, the heart of Japanese indigo, and in 2024, I established my own indigo dyeing studio in Shiga Prefecture.By utilizing the knowledge and techniques passed down by predecessors, I strive to create designs that fit modern lifestyles while exploring new possibilities for indigo dyeing.

The Origin of “SLOW FABRIC”
The name SLOW FABRIC comes from “LOW & SLOW”, a term originating from Lowrider culture in California in the 1940s, where cars were modified with smaller tires.LOW & SLOW represents a philosophy of moving forward steadily and deliberately, without haste.Our indigo dyeing follows the same principle—we take our time to create high-quality pieces with care, progressing step by step toward our vision.
